I Should Have Been A Flapper....

I should have been a flapper....
I am fascinated by the 1920's. The roaring twenties that is. It's just such an interesting time period to me. Women cutting their hair into bobs, wearing slinky short dresses, smoking cigarettes, and just generally rebelling. They were the true rebels, and they knew how to have a good time. Maybe I was a flapper in a past life, who knows?

That is a great photo! Yes, let's be flappers, daaaaaaling. Willow Manor was built in the 20's and their are little secret compartments in closets, that I think were used to hide liquor.

What a fabulous pic! I agree, I'm all about the bob haircut! And why dont we wear hats like that anymore?

It had to be such a thrilling, rebellious time didn't it. Wouldn't it be fun to go back for just a day or two?

Yup. Bet you'd look great in a cloche. My grandmother, still alive and well, was a "flapper." She says that the styles were not nearly as risqué as some would have us believe. She's still protesting the fringe on the Charleston dresses. :D

Hey there! Love the photo, but I would love anything vintage.(Imagine that). The 1940's are my favorite, but flappers are pretty interesting, also. You are right, they were rebels. Gotta love 'em!
